Code of Conduct

Anaesys Pty. Ltd. acting as Trustee for Bax Trust (hereafter referred to as ‘Anaesys’) is committed to a respectful and safe environment for all interactions inclusive of its conferences/events and meetings.

 

Anaesys is governed by all relevant Australian workplace policies in relation to professional behaviour and conduct, including in relation to bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment.

 

Anaesys is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference/event experiences for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, personal belief system, or technology choices. Sexual language and imagery or the use of personal photos without permission is not appropriate for any conference/event venue, including talks, workshops, and social gatherings, social media and online media relates to the conference/event.

 

Conference/event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference/event without a refund at the discretion of the organisers.

 

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times from all participants. Appropriate behaviour respects difference and diversity, respects privacy, and handles disagreement politely. Honesty and fair dealing is expected.

 

Participants are expected to arrive on time for all sessions, workshops, and conferences/events. Late arrivals may disrupt the session and are discouraged. The conference/event organisers reserve the right to deny entry to participants who arrive after the session has started.

 

Obtaining consent to quote others, use presentations or take photographs is appropriate and shows the respect expected of participants of Anaesys. Attendees are encouraged to take notes and share insights but must respect the intellectual property of speakers and other participants.

 

Participants are responsible for their own belongings and should not leave valuables unattended. Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations during the event.

 

Participants are expected to adhere to any health and safety guidelines provided by the conference/event organisers, including any COVID-19 or transmissible infectious diseases protocols in place at the time of the event.

 

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible to a conference organiser or directly to Anaesys. In this situation, all personal details will remain confidential, issues raised will be investigated and necessary action taken to prevent a recurrence.
