Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all conferences and events run with the involvement of Anaesys Pty. Ltd. acting as Trustee for Bax Trust (herafter referred to as ‘Anaesys’).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and attending an Anaesys conference or event, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not register or attend.
2. Registration and Payment
All participants must complete the registration process and pay the applicable fees by the specified deadline. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
3. Responsibility of Participants
Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations during the conference/event.
4. Liability
The conference/event organisers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by participants during the event, or during their travel to and from the event, or during any activities which the participant undertakes in, around, or during the conference/event. Participants are encouraged to obtain their own insurance for personal property and health coverage.
5. Changes to the Program
The conference/event organisers reserve the right to make changes to the program, including speakers, topics, and schedules, as necessary.
6. Conference/Event Cancellation
If the conference/event is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, natural disasters, war, pandemics, illnesses, geopolitical instability, or any other unforeseen circumstances deemed significant by Anaesys, participants will be eligible for a full refund of the conference/event registration fee. However, participants will not be remunerated or compensated for any other expenses, including but not limited to travel, accomodation, insurance, and time/resources used for preparation of workshops or presentations.
7. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of Australia, including but not limited to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Queensland Consumer Protection Agency, The Privacy Act (1988), and Australian Common Law. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with the above laws and bodies, or any other applicable law, body or agency.
8. Cancellation Policy

10 Weeks or more prior to first day of conference/event: $100 (AUD) cancellation fee, which may be waived at the discretion of the organiser, depending on circumstances.

4-8 Weeks prior to first day of conference/event: Refunds will be issued, less a cancellation fee of 30 per cent of the registration rate.

2-4 Weeks prior to first day of conference/event: Refunds will be issued, less a cancellation fee of 50 per cent of the registration rate.

Less than 2 Weeks prior to first day of conference/event: No refund available.
9. Refund Conditions:

Refunds will not be granted on failure of visa application.

Participant substitution is permitted provided notification in writing is received prior to two weeks from meeting start date. In this case, the replacement participant is required to register in the normal way via the website, and contact Anaesys to organise transfer of registration.

Refunds will not be granted due to changes in conference/event program.

Where there are extenuating circumstances a refund outside of these terms may be considered by and at the discretion of the conference/event organiser.
